This is the first Nora Robets book that I have not finished。 The story did not engage me and was confusing。

Claire,
I'd definitely read this before as I realised midway through, but gosh it's unusual to find even an older NR that hews so close to all the worst things about the old timey Mills & Boons of lore; there's a lot of alpha-male asshole behaviour that is somehow Okay When It's Him and the protagonists have sex for the first time after the heroine had "three bottles of ouzo" (which: uhhh that shit is 80 proof, i don't think your typical seldom-drinker skinny white lady is gonna manage that), all in all I'd definitely read this before as I realised midway through, but gosh it's unusual to find even an older NR that hews so close to all the worst things about the old timey Mills & Boons of lore; there's a lot of alpha-male asshole behaviour that is somehow Okay When It's Him and the protagonists have sex for the first time after the heroine had "three bottles of ouzo" (which: uhhh that shit is 80 proof, i don't think your typical seldom-drinker skinny white lady is gonna manage that), all in all I did not vibe with this one at allll。 On the other hand, kind of encouraging to see how much NR improved after this book too。 。。。more
Pilar SC,
Una novela entretenida sin ningún giro inesperado, quizás con un final abrupto aunque esperado。Los personajes son sencillos, al igual que los escenarios。 Supongo que me ha faltado más tensión lectora, más pasión y, desde luego, más trama policial。

Not the bestGood story, maybe I just had to much going on but I never really sank into it,still entertaining , and still a decent read
MyMoonlightBird,
When Morgan James leaves her hectic life in New York for a month to visit her friend on the magical Greek island of Lesbos, she has no idea of the snake pit she will set foot in。 After a night of swimming, she is threatened with a knife by a mysterious man, but when he steals a kiss she is truly confused。 But when she stumbles on a corpse, a victim of the smuggling trade, this mysterious stranger might be the only one who can protect her from certain dead。This book belongs to Nora Roberts's earl When Morgan James leaves her hectic life in New York for a month to visit her friend on the magical Greek island of Lesbos, she has no idea of the snake pit she will set foot in。 After a night of swimming, she is threatened with a knife by a mysterious man, but when he steals a kiss she is truly confused。 But when she stumbles on a corpse, a victim of the smuggling trade, this mysterious stranger might be the only one who can protect her from certain dead。This book belongs to Nora Roberts's earlier works and from these earlier works this is by far my favorite book。 Even though it borders on the line of sexual assault and the male hero is a true asshole, I've read this at least twenty times and I still love it every single time。 It's quite light and fluffy and even though there is a bit of mystery and violence, it is fun and I will read it again sometime。 。。。more
carol straker,
Not up to her usualI found Morgan to be a stupid female。 Not sure when this was written but ms。 Roberts characters, especially the women are rarely so insipid。 The story line was good but I really could not identify with the lead female character。H
Leek,
Ok for an old-style book…very macho man kind of manhandling his woman, with love, but really not for today’s world。 Wouldn’t read again。 Takes place in Greece, island of lesbos, but you don’t really get much of the Greek feel。
Nancy Martinez,
So great It's been awhile since I've read a story written by Nora and it was really great。 I imagine several scenarios while I was reading and didn't come close to the actually ending so to me that makes an amazing story cause many times I can guess the ending but I didn't this time。 So great It's been awhile since I've read a story written by Nora and it was really great。 I imagine several scenarios while I was reading and didn't come close to the actually ending so to me that makes an amazing story cause many times I can guess the ending but I didn't this time。 。。。more
Nancy Reese,
A poor read!I felt like I was reading a Harlequin romance。 This would have been great if I was 15 or 16, but not as a mature adult。 Nora Roberts is one of my favorite authors, but this was very disappointing。
Lucy,
First time reading Nora Roberts。 Read it in one sitting。 Perfect love story with a bit of excitement and danger thrown in。 Not my usual genre but will read more by Roberts I’m sure。
Colette,
I really enjoyed this book。 Vital ingredients, beautiful love story: check, intrigue and danger:check。But I have to confess that Morgan infuriated me on more than one occasion。
Shirley,
Wonder what would be different if this story was written present day vs the 80s。 Female lead make smarter decisions?
angela,
Predictable The entire story was like a dime store story。 Disappointed。 Expected a better storyline from her not some cheap trashy romance。
Felicia Stillesjö,
The romantic interest of this book sexually harassed the protagonist all the time。 It read more like a thriller than a romance novel。 Wouldn't recommend this to anyone。 The romantic interest of this book sexually harassed the protagonist all the time。 It read more like a thriller than a romance novel。 Wouldn't recommend this to anyone。 。。。more
Jackie,
A mindless summer read。 Oh, I finished it to see who the bad guy was。 But it was really dumb。 And too much anger-mixed-with-desire shouting and rolling around on the sand。 I have read a few Nora Roberts books and I thought this was a new one。 But it turns out it's an old one with a new cover, written back in the days before women recognized jerks。 A mindless summer read。 Oh, I finished it to see who the bad guy was。 But it was really dumb。 And too much anger-mixed-with-desire shouting and rolling around on the sand。 I have read a few Nora Roberts books and I thought this was a new one。 But it turns out it's an old one with a new cover, written back in the days before women recognized jerks。 。。。more

Decidedly The Right BookSecond time reading this book and it was just as entertaining。 Goof pace and equally good denouement。 Well worth the second read。

Dorothy Judy,
Another quick reading, enjoyable Nora Roberts brook。 Visiting her friend in Greece Morgan is thrown into quite a mystery of smuggling me murder。 Of course, the dark, brooding man who lives nearby is central to the story。 Good summertime read!
Maria Jose,
No es una historia que sea memorable, pero esta tan bien llevada que la intriga te acompaña durante casi toda la historia。Yo no logré descubrir quien era el culpable。 Pero eso hizo que no pudiera soltar el libro hasta saber la verdad
Lia Washington,
When I first read the preview for this book, I was excited because I thought it was a more recent release。 If I had known this book was released in the 90s, I would have passed。 90s Nora Roberts writing is a helpless, browbeaten female panting after a brutal, abusive, controlling man。 The intimate scenes all start with a show of violent force, and the number of times he grabs her hard enough to leave bruises and shakes her is disgusting。 I do not recommend this book。
Deborah,
Okay, but not the usual mysteryThis book had more on romance and sex than the usual。 I like the mysteries better。 This was more like a Harlequin。
Rob,
This felt like one of Nora Roberts older books, It was ok but did not have the interesting character careers that I have come to like in most of her books。 This was a good romance in the classic mode。 This was a good read。
Amany,
A book from the fiftiesI am confused by this book 。 Is it a reprint of one of Nora's very old books? I don't think she started writing during the fifties。 As a fan of all her books, I am not sure why she is drawing the obsessive sexual self imposing man as a charming character to be loved in this book。 I will look for her next books。 A book from the fiftiesI am confused by this book 。 Is it a reprint of one of Nora's very old books? The Right Path is one of Nora Roberts early books and is mostly an enjoyable, predictable love story。 The setting is a beautiful Greek island, that is as dangerous as it is lovely, with smugglers and pirate types who cause chaos and mayhem, along with murder。Morgan has come to stay with her childhood friend, Liz and her husband, Alex, for a much needed vacation。 Of course she meets several, eligible bachelors, all handsome and taken with Morgan's beauty and all vying for Morgan's attention。 Morg The Right Path is one of Nora Roberts early books and is mostly an enjoyable, predictable love story。 The setting is a beautiful Greek island, that is as dangerous as it is lovely, with smugglers and pirate types who cause chaos and mayhem, along with murder。Morgan has come to stay with her childhood friend, Liz and her husband, Alex, for a much needed vacation。 Of course she meets several, eligible bachelors, all handsome and taken with Morgan's beauty and all vying for Morgan's attention。 Morgan goes for a late night swim and beach walk, only to find herself close to an altercation with danger。 She is pulled to safety by Nicholas, a wealthy import/export man who may well be living on both sides of the law。 Of course, they are attracted to each other, yet live very different lives and Morgan knows she cannot have feelings for this man。 Nicholas has a temper and appears ruthless。 He doesn't understand why Morgan has gotten under his skin。 Their battles are heated, passionate, and show there is more to both man and woman。 Where it takes them, is anyone's guess。 。。。more

Shawna,
The male protagonist in this book is an absolute creeper。 By Chapter 3 he climbs a trellis and enters the woman’s room wo permission and in a separate event he also lays down on top of her and kisses and fondles her while she sleeps。 When she wakes up he ignores her protests and tells her she was very “responsive。”By far Nora Roberts’ worst book。
karen marte sorensen,
Old BookI LOVE Nora Roberts。 I always check the release date and this only lists 2021。 It was obviously an old book and was much slower than Ms。 Roberts' current work。 I was very disappointed and feel that the original publication date should have been identified。 Old BookI LOVE Nora Roberts。 I always check the release date and this only lists 2021。 It was obviously an old book and was much slower than Ms。 Roberts' current work。 I was very disappointed and feel that the original publication date should have been identified。 。。。more
